Movie Review: The A-Team
I'll start off this review by saying that I havent read nor watched any reviews of this film and that, I presume, said reviews are mostly going to be written by fans of the old TV show who are bitter and let down by anything that is neither perfect or simply better than the original.
I'd also like to say my review style is pretty brief. I'm quite a lazy person and don't really enjoy summarising things too much. :)
That being said, here's my take on this remake....
From the get go the movie takes you right in to the action, there's barely a moment in this film when something isn't happening but, as with any good action flick, they really do jump right in. The first 25 minutes or so of the film takes its time introducing you to the characters, making them all seem slightly quirky and passionate about one thing or another. For an action film, this is perfect, get the character building out of the way at the start so you know who's going to react to each situation and whatnot, leaving plenty of time for plot development and, of course, blowing things up.
After the characters are introduced and the current adventure ends, we skip forward several years, everyone has bonded and "Mr. T" is repeating his fear of flying over and over, due to a stunt Murdock had pulled when they first met. The characters are pretty much identical to those of the old TV show, if not slightly funnier.
Shit hits the fan and the Team end up in Jail for some stuff they didn't do, which blatantly pisses them off. The film from here on in is a tail of revenge and name-clearing. They all break out of prison and the main adventure ensues. Keep in mind that this is quite a way into the film but it's really only just starting.
There's plenty of action, plenty of well scripted jokes and, of course, the parachuting tank seen in the trailer which, as ridiculous as it looks, was insanely cool.

The film ends pretty much explaining how the "A-Team" itself, the one we all know and love from the tv show, came into being. Which I thought was pretty nice as, despite the time difference and obvious technological advances, the movie didn't take away from the tv show, it merely compliments it.
Anyway, it's an awesome action film (much better than 'The Losers' - which is similar but very lackluster.) If you're looking for a nice summer blockbuster action movie, I recommend you go see this. It feels quite long yet it's not boring. It's lighthearted at times yet pretty serious at others. There are plenty of mother-fucking explosions and the acting is just brilliant, I don't think the film could have been better cast.
For it's Novelty I'll give this film 4/5 text boobies...
