Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps

Brilliant Movie. Despite going into this thinking it was going to be boring, having never seen the Original, I utterly enjoyed it. From start to finish the movie keeps you hanging. Yeah, there are no crazy action scenes, no gun fights and the only race scene in the movie is pretty dull. However, the drama and screen play are simply brilliant, everything is well paced and the call backs, which are made obvious, to the original Movie are ingenious, it definitely makes me want to go back and watch it sometime. One of Shia Lebeouf's better films I've seen recently, easily rated high above both of the Transformer flicks. He's really come into his own as a serious actor, portraying a whole mountain of emotions throughout this Move. He starts of cocky, confident and suave till various knock-backs befall him and well, let's just say, shit happens. This movie is certainly more centred around his character than that of Michael Douglas though, which is great because, despite all the call-backs, he really does bring the movie into it's own. Charlie Sheen also makes an appearance as his, now older, character from the Original Movie too, though only briefly. Stereotypical Charlie though, the same guy you see in current-day 2 and a half men episodes. All in all, amazing Movie, makes you want to start investing in the Stock market whilst also causing you great concern for exactly how unstable the current financial situation is right now. Top notch drama with some heart-warming bits in there too, topped off with a "godfather" feeling now and then as the the top Brokers gather to meet. Makes me wonder if this stuff all really happens. I give it 4/5 happy faces. :) :) :) :) :|
